Man accused of child assault

A 30-year-old man allegedly entered a home Tuesday and detained a woman and injured a child while causing damage to their home.

Roberto Hernandez, 30, was taken to the Mesa County Jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, criminal mischief, child abuse causing injury, false imprisonment, obstruction of telephone service and domestic violence.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department activity log, Hernandez allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in the 600 block of 28 1/4 Road, damaged property valued at $500, caused pain/injury to a victim, obstructed telephone service, injured a child and unlawfully detained a female without her consent.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Someone caused about $2,000 in damage to a vehicle June 30 in the 2900 block of Paula Lane.

■ Someone used a $50 counterfeit bill at a business Wednesday in the 200 block of Ute Avenue.

■ Stephanie Guerrie, 45, was jailed July 3 on suspicion of trespassing at a home in the 600 block of Silver Oaks Drive.

■ A 30-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted in the northeast quadrant of the city on Saturday.

■ Someone took property worth less than $3,000 from a boat in the northeast quadrant of the city on Sunday.

■ Veronica Naomi Diamond was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of six counts of identity theft, criminal mischief, forgery, first-degree criminal trespass of an automobile, unauthorized use of a financial transaction device, theft and third-degree assault.

■ Tanner Clay Donahue, 20, was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree assault.

■ Theresa Ann McCaw, 45, of Clifton was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of four counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Dyan Lange, 21, was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of hindering public transportation and second-degree assault of a bus driver near the intersection of Patterson and 29 roads.

■ Trevor Laro, 28, was issued a summons on Tuesday on suspicion of huffing a can of spray paint in the 3000 block of the Interstate 70 Business Loop.

 

According to the Montrose Police Department:

■ Kaitlyn Brown, 19, of Spring Creek, Nevada, was issued a summons Wednesday on suspicion of shoplifting items at a business in the 16000 block of South Townsend Avenue.

■ Robert Kalow, 70, of Montrose was issued a summons Wednesday on suspicion of indecent exposure and public indecency in the 400 block of North Third Street.
