Rifle police seek fugitive

The Rifle Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding Jacob Edward Murdock, 18, who is wanted on multiple felony warrants.

According to police, Murdock is aware that he has multiple warrants for his arrest and has been eluding law enforcement officers for several months.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Glenn Greuling, 53, was issued a summons Wednesday morning in the 600 block of the north alley of Gunnison Avenue on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and obstructing an officer.

■ Stetson Qualls-Jones, 23, was issued a summons Thursday afternoon at Whitman Park on suspicion of assault.

■ Someone stole checks from a residence in the 2300 block of Promontory Court Friday morning and later cashed them, causing a loss of more than $2,000.

■ James Balta, 45, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 2800 block of North Avenue on suspicion of assaulting a known female and causing less than $500 in property damage.

■ Items valued at less than $300 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of 27 3/8 Road on Friday night.

■ Howard Unselt, 54, was issued a summons Saturday morning at Seventh and Main streets on suspicion of being intoxicated in the road.

■ Daniel Gressett, 20, was issued a summons Saturday afternoon in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 6&50 on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

■ Destiny Rose, 20, was issued a summons early Sunday morning at Interstate 70 Business Loop and 30 Road on suspicion of driving with a canceled license and failing to present evidence of insurance.

■ Rene Quintana, 26, was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of assault and using force to keep the victim from leaving a residence in the 100 block of Gunnison Avenue, as well as damaging property valued at less than $500.

■ Bruce Blaisdell, 30, was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment.

■ Stephanie Elaine Kellaway, 22, was arrested early Monday morning in the 400 block of Elm Circle on suspicion of slapping her boyfriend and grabbing his chest.

 

According to the Palisade Police Department:

■ A woman was contacted July 3 while taking insulators from downed poles owned by the railroad. An officer informed her it was trespassing and theft if she didn’t get permission, which she agreed to do.

■ An officer found a vehicle parked in a driveway July 4 with its lights on. The officer contacted the owner, who thanked him, turned off the lights and locked the vehicle.

■ Officers received a noise complaint July 5 from Riverbend Park, where several people were drinking and listening to loud music. The officers pointed out the “no alcohol” signs and gave the people a warning; they left the park and agreed to observe park and state rules if they returned.

 

According to the Montrose Police Department:

■ Kyle Harris, 30, was arrested Friday evening in the 1300 block of Pitchfork Road on suspicion of child abuse.

■ Jeffery Archer, 30, was arrested Friday night on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and having an open alcohol container in a public place.

■ Nathaniel Durham, 33, was arrested Saturday morning on South Fifth Street on suspicion of harassment and obstructing telephone services.

■ Robert Cook, 41, was arrested Saturday afternoon on South Cascade Avenue on suspicion of violating a protection order.

■ Troy Gonzales, 26, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 1600 block of Encanto Place on suspicion of domestic violence, harassment and obstructing telephone services.
