Man ticketed for behavior toward lemonade kid
Kevin Macoubrie, 50, address unknown, was ticketed Thursday on suspicion of disorderly conduct and throwing missiles for his alleged behavior toward a 9-year-old boy at a lemonade stand, according to a copy of his ticket from the Grand Junction Police Department.
Macoubrie allegedly yelled, cursed and threw sycamore seed balls from a tree at the boy, while the boy had a lemonade stand set up in the 1200 block of Hermosa Avenue, the ticket read.
When officers asked Macoubrie about the boy’s allegations, the man told officers the boy is “always harassing him, making faces, saying things to him and making (thumbs down) hand gestures,” the ticket read.
Report: Six rifles stolen
Someone reported Thursday that six rifles were stolen from the 100 block of Edlun Road.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Kenneth Sample, 48, transient, was ticketed Thursday for trespassing at 202 Main St.
■ A 14-year-old was taken to the Department of Youth Corrections Wednesday on suspicion of harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief of between $500 and $1,000 and obstruction of a telephone.
■ A 17-year-old girl was ticketed Wednesday on suspicion of careless driving, DUI, failure to notify police of a crash, failure to give information after damaging a vehicle and leaving the scene without providing information after hitting a parked vehicle in the northeast part of the city. The girl was released to a parent.
■ An employee of J&S Services reported Tuesday one of his employees was assigned a work truck to take to Denver but had not returned with it. The Adams County Sheriff’s Department found the truck.
