Woman suspected in hit-and-run

A 41-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident.

Shontale Lorenzo was arrested in connection with a crash that took place near Unaweep Avenue and Beaver Street. Lorenzo was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs with a denied license and no proof of insurance, the Grand Junction Police Department reported.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Stefani Goosen, 19, was arrested and released on a summons alleging possession of a dangerous weapon at Bonito Avenue and North 12th Street.

■ Jason Lunk, 32, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property valued at more than $2,000 and other offenses after fleeing from officers in the area of 2896 North Ave.

■ Jose Nieto, 21, was arrested during a traffic stop at 200 Rood Ave. on suspicion of providing officers with a false identity and forged identification. He also was suspected of driving recklessly on a suspended license.

■ Albert Harris, 35, was arrested and released on a summons after an investigation revealed he acted negligently while caring for a 2-year-old child.

■ Janelle Stegeman, 49, was arrested and booked into Mesa County Jail on suspicion of burglary and theft from a business in the 2800 block of North Avenue.
