Assault on deputy alleged
Louis Albert Oeser, 49, was arrested early Thursday morning in the 3000 block of Robinwood Court on suspicion of felony menacing, second-degree assault on a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest, among other charges, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 12:40 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to a report that a man cut himself on a piece of glass and was possibly armed with a sword, according to an arrest affidavit.
The man, later identified as Oeser, is suspected of driving while intoxicated from his home to a friend’s house after threatening a person at his home and pushing the person’s car with his car. When deputies arrived at the friend’s house, Oeser charged one of the deputies and kicked him in the shin and tried to throw a ladder at three deputies, according to the affidavit.
Oeser was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Jail.
According to Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Bobby Turley, 27, was arrested May 16 in the 700 block of Horizon Drive on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Barbra Canada, 25, was arrested on a warrant at the scene.
