ATM burglarized, damaged

Someone broke into an ATM machine located in the 1200 block of North Avenue on Sunday.

Though whoever did it managed to get inside the machine, the person only got away with $300, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

The person, however, did cause about $1,000 damage to get into the machine.

It is unknown if the camera on the machine got a picture of the culprit.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Efrain Mendoza, 19, of Arizona, and Christopher Stalnaker, a transient, were issued summonses on July 6 on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise valued at less than $100 from Walmart, 2524 Rimrock Ave.

■  Larry Basta, 63, was issued a summons on July 6 on suspicion of harassment in the 1800 block of N. Seventh Street.

■  Johannes Venherk, 38, and Kenneth Samples, 43, were issued summonses Thursday on suspicion of trespassing in the 200 block of Main Street.

■  James Easterling, 51, was issued a summons on Sunday on suspicion of unlawful camping in the 2500 block of Broadway Ave.

■  William Koontz, 24, was issued a summons Sunday on suspicion of taking items valued at less than $100 from St. Mary’s Hospital, 2635 N. Seventh Ave.

■ Jade Maldonado, 35, was issued a summons Sunday on suspicion of theft of less than $1,000 from a business in the 700 block of Horizon Drive.

■  Heather Bovat, 52, was issued a summons Sunday on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $1,000 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■  Robert Stevens, 39, was issued a summons Sunday on suspicion of trespassing, shoplifting items valued at less than $500 and being in possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2900 block of North Avenue.

■  Someone broke into a vehicle Monday in the 400 block of Independence Avenue, removing items and causing a loss of less than $750.

■  Jeffrey Marley, 55, was issued a summons Monday on suspicion of harassment, disorderly conduct and violating a restraining order in the 400 block of Pitkin Avenue.

■  A 16-year-old female was issued a summons Monday on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $100 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■  Charles Browder, 27, Daniel Brewer, 24, and a 16-year-old female were issued summonses Tuesday on suspicion of trespassing in the 500 block of 28 1/4 Road.

■  Someone broke into a vehicle Monday in the 2800 block of Interstate 70 Business Loop, causing damage of more than $2,000.

■  Someone broke into two vehicles Monday in the 3000 block of Bentley Drive, causing a loss of less than $50.

■  Jonathan Allan Steele, 26, of Grand Junction was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of felony menacing.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Shane Taylor Luster, 36, of Grand Junction was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of theft and three counts of first-degree criminal trespass of an auto.

■ Monique Charity Miller, 39, of Clifton was jailed Tuesday on a warrant on suspicion of two counts of child abuse, harassment and third-degree assault.

■ Jacob Aaron Scott Pitcher, 19, of Grand Junction was jailed Tuesday on a warrant on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass of an auto and second-degree burglary.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ Jacob Paul Carbajal, 20, was jailed Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree assault and felony menacing.
