Thief damaged RV
Someone stole a recreational vehicle valued at $35,000 from Funshares RV Sales and Leasing Co., 2583 U.S. Highway 6&50, on Sunday. The vehicle reportedly was later returned but with exterior damage. An investigation is ongoing, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Hay fire called suspicious
More than $24,000 worth of hay reportedly burned Monday night at a residence in the 1000 block of 22 1/2 Road, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Lower Valley Fire Department officials said the fire was “very suspicious” but could not determine the cause. It was similar to a fire last year at the same address involving hundreds of hay bales, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The owner wanted the incident documented.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone stole items valued at more than $2,000 from a vehicle parked Monday at the Blue Heron boat ramp. The vehicle owner told officers the car was locked. An investigation is ongoing.
■ Someone stole items valued at more than $300 from a residence near the 500 block of Glen Road on Monday.
■ Someone stole items valued at less than $2,000 from an unlocked vehicle parked Monday in the 2600 block of B 1/2 Road.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Terri Nicole Carl, 30, 409 Lark Court; Sean James Key, 20, 2964 D Road, Unit C3; Savannah Rae Oderkirk, 20, 1020 Grand Ave.; and Dustin Lee Scott, 33, 3449 Front St., were arrested Tuesday at 2987 Kennedy Ave. on suspicion of a variety of charges related to the reported heft of a $1,500 motorcycle.
Carl was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and complicity to commit second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft.
Key was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and complicity to commit second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, and was named in a warrant, according to his arrest affidavit.
Oderkirk was arrested on suspicion of complicity to commit second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, according to her arrest affidavit.
Scott was arrested on suspicion of possessing of a controlled substance, being an accessory to commit second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft and two counts of possession of an illegal weapon, according to his arrest affidavit.
■ Liovdmila Koptelova-Devidts, 48, 909 Patricia Court, Fruita, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of harassment, resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer.
■ Someone stole a 2003 white Saturn SL sedan between midnight Monday and 4 a.m. Tuesday from the yard of a residence in the 57000 block of ME 3/4 Road in Collbran.
