Burglary arrest reported
Sergio Lee Villalobos, 19, was arrested Wednesday at 32 and E roads on suspicion of first degree burglary of a home with a deadly weapon, second degree attempted assault with a weapon, criminal mischief, illegal consumption of alcohol by an underage person, and two counts of violating bail bond conditions, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of 32 Road, according to an arrest affidavit. It was reported the person trying to break into the home had a knife. Deputies detained a man running from the scene, later identified as Villalobos.
He was bleeding and later received stitches at a hospital for multiple stab wounds to the hands and arms.
According to the affidavit, Villalobos is suspected of trying to force his way into an apartment while holding a knife and broke a window and was cut during a scuffle.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Christine Mendenhall, 20, Casey Farnsworth, 19, and Chakotah Kaus, 19, were issued summonses Wednesday at 730 24 Road on suspicion of possession and consumption of marijuana by underage people.
■ Brian Manzanares, 40, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of causing more than $1,000 worth of damage to a person’s property in the 2600 block of Belford Avenue.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Oldrich Banda, 48, was arrested Wednesday at 2922 North Ave. on suspicion of criminal mischief and third degree criminal trespass after he allegedly slammed a shopping cart into a parked vehicle at the address, shattering the car’s window.
■ Someone broke a car window either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning in the 200 block of Lincoln Lane.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Daniel A. Windemaker, 31, Eckert, was arrested Wednesday in Olathe on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, harassment, disorderly conduct, and violation of a protection order.
■ Richard D. Trujillo, 49, Montrose, was arrested Wednesday in Montrose on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and expired license plates.
