Coroner seeks public help

The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is asking for help in locating relatives for Stephon Alderson, a 55-year-old man who was found dead near Dike Road close to the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. behind the Safeway on Broadway.

Alderson’s death on June 10 appeared to be related to a natural disease process, or possibly alcohol or drug related, the office said.

He appeared to be homeless.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Zachary Denny, 28, was issued a summons Friday on suspicion of second-degree assault at the County Jam Ranch in Mack.

■ Andrew Rogers, 28, was jailed Saturday in the 400 block of Bing Street on suspicion of harassment.

■ Cynthia Wolfe, 46, was issued a summons Saturday on suspicion of retaliating against a victim of a domestic violence case in front of deputies in the 3200 block of Point Avenue.

■ Michael Moore, 25, was jailed Saturday in the 300 block of 30 Road on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Chad Roling, 29, was jailed June 10 in the 400 block of Broken Arrow Drive on suspicion of third-degree assault, false imprisonment, child abuse, reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving with a restrained license, having an open container and two counts of domestic violence.

■ Someone stole items valued at less than $2,000 Tuesday from a vehicle in the 2900 block of North Avenue, taking, among other items, credit cards and a checkbook that had been used to purchase items.

■ Caroline Valdez, 29, was issued a summons Wednesday on suspicion of trespassing in the 1400 block of North Fifth Street.

■ Krista Leonard, 29, was issued a summons Wednesday on suspicion of criminal mischief in the 300 block of North Avenue.

■ Tiffany Vargas-Herrera, 27, and Thomas Gallegos, 31, were issued summonses Wednesday on suspicion of harassment in the 3200 block of Lakeside Drive.

■ Kelsi Lemarr, 22, was issued a summons Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence in the area of 12th Street and Orchard Avenue.

■ Norman Smith Walsh, 41, was issued a summons Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in the 2500 block of Rimrock Avenue.

■ Andrew Eppler, 32, was jailed Thursday on suspicion of second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, third-degree assault and obstruction of telephone service.

■ Landon Armijo, 33, was jailed Friday on suspicion of violation of a protection order, violation of bond conditions, second-degree assault, use of a stun gun, third-degree assault, false imprisonment, obstructing a peace officer, menacing and domestic violence.

■ Someone stole property from a home in the 100 block of Sherman Drive on Friday, causing a loss of less than $5,000.

■ Kelvin Robert Gross, 48, was jailed Friday on suspicion of third-degree assault, second-degree criminal tampering and domestic violence.

■ Araceli Johnson, 27, was jailed Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting and trespassing at Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■ Someone entered a home in the 1300 block of North Avenue on Friday and removed items valued at less than $750.

■ Allen Salazar, 24, was jailed Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

■ Jodie Lawler, 56, was jailed Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

■ Trentin Breland, 22, was issued a summons Friday on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Colorado Avenue.

■ Christopher Teal, 26, was issued a summons Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of Colorado Avenue.

■ A juvenile was booked into the Division of Youth Corrections on Saturday on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an illegal weapon.

■ Someone stole a vehicle Saturday in the 1900 block of Grand Avenue.

■ Someone stole parts from a motorcycle Thursday in the 600 block of 25 1/2 Road.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:

■ Someone reported a skunk trapped in a yard Friday in the 1000 block of Chipeta Road. The caller was referred to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

■ William Tommer, 38, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

■ Adolfo Munoz-Carrillo, 52, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of domestic violence, felony menacing, first-degree criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

■ Sophie Poppleton, 53, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

■ William Robinson, 47, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

■ Vincent Ramirez, 32, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

■ Virgilio Rodriguez, 36, of Montrose was jailed Friday on suspicion of third-degree assault, two counts of harassment and criminal mischief.

■ Daniel Howard, 35, of Montrose was jailed Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault, harassment and criminal mischief.

■ Stacey Howard, 47, of Montrose was jailed Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment.

■ Michael Garcia, 37, of Montrose was jailed Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief and violation of a protection order.

■ Miguel Perez, 20, of Montrose, was jailed Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault and harassment.

■ Kenneth L. Jenkins, 56, of Ouray was jailed Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault and harassment.

■ Aimee S. Baldt, 40, of Montrose was jailed Saturday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ Someone stole a vehicle June 9 in the 500 block of West Aspen Avenue.

■ Shannon Digs, 32, of Phoenix was jailed June 10 on suspicion of assaulting her boyfriend at the Vietnam Memorial Park.

 

According to the Delta Police Department:

■ Michael A. Roybal, 52, of Grand Junction was issued a summons June 12 on suspicion of trespass.

■ Christopher S. Williams, 44, of Delta was jailed Friday on suspicion of second-degree trespass of a vehicle.

■ Summer Adcock, 23, of Delta was jailed Saturday on suspicion of third-degree assault.

 

According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office:

■ Andrew Lewis, 34, of Battlement Mesa was jailed Saturday on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence.

■ Javier Gomez-Rodriguez, 30, of Glenwood Springs was jailed Saturday on suspicion of third-degree assault, child abuse and domestic violence.

■ John Klein, 45, of New Castle was jailed Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with a restrained license and failure to drive in a single lane.
