3 people booked in animal-fighting probe
• Jose Mario Felix, 22, of Delta, was arrested on suspicion of animal fighting, possession of an illegal weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, after Delta police were called Monday evening on a report of dogs running loose.
Two juvenile males also were arrested, and an investigation resulted in the seizure of four dogs. The two boys were booked into Grand Mesa Youth Services on suspicion of animal fighting.
Clifton woman cited in wreck in Delta
• Jacklyn Stamper, 25, of Clifton, was issued a traffic citation Monday alleging that she was following a vehicle too closely after her Ford Focus rear-ended a Chevy Blazer, according to Delta police. Stamper told an officer the accident happened after a bee flew into her vehicle and landed on her lap.
Painting taken in Palisade burglary
• The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department on Friday asked for the public’s help in recovering a painting valued at $2,400. It was stolen during a residential burglary earlier this month on Rapid Creek Road in Palisade. The painting is titled “Night Time Take Out.”

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
• Amanda Geary, 21, address unknown, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion second-degree assault causing serious bodily injury, third-degree assault and misdemeanor theft. She was accused of fighting and injuring a female in the desert.
