Firearms violation alleged

Lyle Dixon, 27, was arrested Monday night on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon and prohibited use of a weapon after Grand Junction officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Northern Way on a report of an intoxicated male. Officers observed he was highly intoxicated, while a witness said Dixon was walking around the property with a gun in his hand, according to the affidavit. Officers observed several firearms in plain view inside the home, including a Kel Tec PLR 16, which had a sound suppressor attached to the barrel, the affidavit said.

Child neglect alleged

 

Alesha Nadeau, 25, was cited Monday on suspicion of child abuse neglect after a toddler was reported left unattended inside a van, near the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department substation, 3225 Interstate 70 Business, according to an incident report. The child was observed alone inside the vehicle, while a deputy observed a burned marijuana cigarette on the driver’s side floorboard, the report said.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Connie Williams, 42, was cited on suspicion of harassment by phone. The incident happened Feb. 26.

■ A vehicle was reported stolen Monday in the 800 block of Mazatlan Drive.

■ Officers were called to separate reports of vandalism to vehicles parked in Colorado Mesa University parking spaces on Monday.

■ Aaron Hanson, 25, was cited Saturday on suspicion of disorderly conduct at 539 Colorado Ave.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A man in the 1200 block of O Road reported Monday finding a bullet hole through his garage door, as well as a dent on a vehicle inside the garage and a bullet on the ground. The case was closed for lack of leads.
