Suspicious man arrested
Zachary Tyler Huff, 21, Grand Junction, was arrested on a warrant after officers found him attempting to hide after walking onto private property, according to the Grand Junction Police Department. Huff was arrested in the 1000 block of Teller Avenue on Thursday as officers were investigating a report of someone breaking into vehicles there.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ James Yeager, 22, received a summons on suspicion of violating a restraining order when he contacted someone via a social networking site on March 8.
■ Audriana O’Niell, 21, Grand Junction, received a summons on suspicion of a driving under the influence of drugs Wednesday.
■ Carol Hammer, 52, received a summons at 480 1/2 Melody Lane on suspicion of disturbing the peace and obstructing and striking a law enforcement officer on Thursday.
■ Veronica Vanarsdale, 19, Cheyanne Hoover, 19, Sujaya Khadka, 23, and Roxie Limon, 18, all of Grand Junction, received summonses on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $1,000 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave., on Thursday.
■ Celestino L. Marquez, 52, received a summons after officers alleged he kicked out a window of a car parked in the 2600 block of North Seventh Street on Thursday. Damage was estimated to be less than $1,000.
■ A 17-year-old boy from Grand Junction received a summons on suspicion of possessing marijuana in the area of Chipeta Avenue and Grand Valley Drive on Friday.
■ Alexa Grooms, 18, received a summons on suspicion of stealing items valued at less than $1,000 at Mesa Mall on Feb. 17.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department did not release crime reports Saturday.
