Meth, burglary suspected
A 38-year-old man arrested Tuesday with about 4 grams of suspected meth and a debit card belonging to someone else faces felony counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, criminal possession of a financial device and a bail-bond condition violation, among other charges.
Juan Luis Sanchez Jr., who was taken into custody by the Grand Junction Police Department on Tuesday in the 700 block of Horizon Drive after a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the scent of suspected narcotics in the car he was in, was issued high cash-only bonds on two cases Wednesday by Mesa County Judge Craig Henderson.
Sanchez was already wanted by authorities on a warrant on allegations that he burglarized a guest’s room at the Ramada Inn, 752 Horizon Drive, and an office in the 2700 block of Skyline Court earlier this month, according to arresting documents.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Nathan Martinez, 23, is accused of drug possession on Feb. 24.
■ Chinelle Rich, 28, is accused of drug possession on March 10.
■ A vehicle was stolen from the area of 27 1/4 Road and H Road on March 9, causing the victim a loss of more than $1,000.
■ Richard Lamont, 48, is accused of DUI on Monday.
■ Sharly Simon, 25, is accused of DUI on Wednesday.
■ Tiffany Smalley, 27, is accused of drug possession on Thursday.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ An unlocked motor vehicle was entered unlawfully in the 600 block of Entrada Court on March 9.
■ Kristy Maxwell, 47, is accused of third-degree assault and domestic violence on March 5.
■ Joshua Rosales, 28, is accused of drug-related and weapons offenses on March 9.
■ Joshua Kubisiak, 33, is accused of violating a protection order on Thursday.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Jeremy J. Masters, 36, Montrose, is accused of menacing, violating a protection order, resisting a police officer and domestic violence on Thursday.
■ Tia M. Velarde, 25, Montrose, is accused of DUI and drug possession on Thursday.
