Child sex-assault alleged

Martin Mireles-Aguirre, 49, 2849 Kennedy Ave., Unit B, in Clifton, was booked Thursday at the Mesa County Jail on a warrant alleging 10 child-sex-assault felonies involving two girl victims, ages 9 and 11. An arrest warrant affidavit alleges the crimes occurred between August 2009 and September 2011. The warrant was issued in April 2012, while Mireles-Aguirre was recently transported to Mesa County from Arizona after completing a sentence in an unrelated federal case.

Counterfeit bill passed

 

A counterfeit $10 was passed Tuesday at the Shell gas station, 745 Horizon Drive, according to Grand Junction police. A woman tried to pay for gas with several bills, one of which was fraudulent, police said. There was no suspect information.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ A 14-year-old boy was issued a summons Tuesday for suspicion of disorderly conduct at East Middle School, 830 Gunnison Ave.

■ Property worth less than $500 was reported stolen Feb. 19 from a home in the 1100 block of Belford Avenue.

■ A checkbook was reported stolen Feb. 12 from a home in the 2500 block of Forest Hills Avenue. Several purchases were then made with the checks.

■ Kelsey Fields, 23, was cited Monday for suspicion of shopflifting at Walmart, 2545 Rimrock Dr.

■ Zachary Johnson, 40, was arrested Monday on suspicion of trespassing at Culinary Corner, 455 Main St.

■ A known male suspect forced his way into a home Tuesday in the 900 block of Colorado Avenue. No charges have been filed.

■ A loss reportedly topped $20,000 after someone Tuesday stole a vehicle and other items from the 400 block of Scarlet Street. The incident was reported Tuesday.

■ David Wheeler, 18, was issued a summons Wednesday for suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■ Alicia Pearson, 20, was cited Wednesday on suspicion of abusing toxic vapors in the 2200 block of Grand Avenue.

■ Caleb Ferganchick and Raven Laird, both 19, were cited Thursday on suspicion of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

■ Someone broke into a property and stole unspecified items at 326 W. Kennedy Ave.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A man reported Wednesday his two German shepherds went missing from his property in the 100 block of Little Park Road.

 

According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Rico Haywood, 36, of Glenwood Springs, and Julion Moreno, 20, of Clifton, were cited Thursday on suspicion of disorderly conduct at 15783 Colorado Highway 82 in Carbondale.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Deputies were called Thursday on a report of a gunshot in the 14600 block of 6355 Road. Nothing was found.
