Scam reported online
Officers in Fruita took a report March 13 of a suspected scam originating from the Western Slope Help Wanted website. The reporting party didn’t lose money, police said.
No charges after dog bite
The Fruita Police Department said charges will not be pursued after an 11-year-old girl was bitten on a hand when she tried to pet an “unfriendly” dog at a home at Crystal Way and Pioneer Drive. The incident was reported March 2.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Property worth less than $1,000 was reported stolen Monday in a burglary in the 800 block of Kennedy Avenue.
■ Damage topped $1,000 when rocks were thrown at a business sign located at 553 25 1/2 Road on Saturday.
■ A loss was more than $1,000 when a glass door was damaged Friday in the 500 block of 25 1/2 Road.
■ A 14-year-old boy was cited Monday on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia at 585 25 1/2 Road on Monday.
■ Items worth more than $1,000 were stolen from a vehicle parked Sunday on North 11th Street.
■ Zachary Black, 24, was cited on suspicion of keeping a disorderly house at 1730 Hall Ave. on Sunday.
■ Someone tried to enter a parked vehicle Saturday at Regal Cinemas, 648 Market St.
■ A 15-year-old boy was cited on suspicion of possessing marijuana and paraphernalia at Grand Junction High School, 1400 N. Fifth St.
■ Kristy Leino, 33, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of menacing, criminal mischief and second-degree assault after officers were called on a report of a 911 hang-up at 2030 N. 15th St.
According to the Fruita Police Department:
■ More than $3,000 in property was reported stolen Sunday from a vehicle at 302 Concord Drive.
■ Brandy Hepp, 31, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, while Travis Rush, 33, was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief following a fight call Sunday at 1802 U.S. Highway 6&50.
■ A vehicle “left the roadway and crossed a canal” during a traffic accident at East Columbine Avenue and North Ash Street. Damage was reported to the cement canal.
■ No charges were filed when a victim refused to prosecute after a Terrier-type dog bit a man on the hand at 1024 E. Cleveland Ave. The bite was reported March 14.
■ A vehicle appeared to have been intentionally hit by another vehicle at West Ottley Avenue and Comstock Drive on March 12.
■ No charges were filed after a victim refused prosecution stemming from a dog-bite investigation March 11 in the 1300 block of Aquarius Avenue.
According to the Montrose Police Department:
■ Jose Martinez, 27, was arrested Thursday in the 300 block of South Second Street on a Mesa County warrant alleging a dangerous drug charge.
■ Juan Silva-Morales, 55, was arrested Friday in the 1400 block of Ogden Road on a Montrose County warrant alleging sexual assault.
■ Michael Keith, 45, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of unlawful conduct on public property and false reporting at North Cascade and East Main Street.
■ Ravelle Celaya, 49, was cited Sunday on suspicion of child abuse at 1700 Canyon Court.
