Police seek sex offender
The Grand Junction Police Department seeks the public’s help to locate a wanted fugitive who is believed to be in the Grand Junction area.
The fugitive is 30-year-old Lance Dylan Worrall. Worrall is a sex offender who failed to register and has a warrant out for his arrest. He is a 5-foot 11-inch white man who weighs abot 190 pounds and has green eyes and brown hair.
Anyone who has information about where Worrall is can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 241-7867.
Information that leads to an arrest can earn a caller up to $1,000.

Library fire suspicious
Carbondale police are seeking information about a suspicious fire at the new Carbondale library Saturday.
The fire occurred in a restroom at the facility on Sopris Drive. Damage was minimal because of the sprinkler system being activated, police said Thursday in a news release.
“Further investigation revealed suspicious circumstances related to the fire,” police said.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Monte Dean Carpenter, 51, was arrested March 12 on suspicion of unlawfully entering a residence in the 400 block of Ouray Avenue and removing a bike valued at $2,000 to $5,000.
■ Chandra Whitcomb, 38, was issued a summons Saturday in the 1800 block of North 12th Street on suspicion of theft, providing false information to police, causing less than $1,000 in property damage, and assaulting two people.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ The tires were slashed Wednesday on a vehicle in the 500 block of Gardner Way in Clifton.
■ A Lower Valley Fire Department vehicle struck another vehicle while responding to a fire Wednesday in the 900 block of 20 Road.
