Sexual-assault prevention

The Grand Junction Police Department invites all area high school juniors, seniors and their parents, as well as Colorado Mesa University freshmen, to a two-hour presentation on preventing sexual assault.

The presentation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 10 at the Police Department, 555 Ute Ave., where you will learn how to spot potentially dangerous situations, what to do if you or someone you know is sexually assaulted, what happens during a criminal investigation and what resources are available to you. If you have questions, call 549-5114.

Because of the graphic nature of some presentation material, students 17 and younger must have a parent or guardian with them, the Police Department said.

Neither the Grand Junction Police Department nor Mesa County Sheriff’s Office released a daily resume Saturday.
