Teens cited for drinking

Eleven 13-year-old or 14-year-old boys and girls, all of Grand Junction, were ticketed Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of being in possession and/or consuming alcohol at Bookcliff Middle School, 540 29 1/4 Road, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

The students allegedly drank from three water bottles that “contained the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage consistent with the odor of vodka,” according to copies of the students’ tickets, the Police Department said.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Richard Mark Medina, 52, 1225 Bunting Ave., was arrested Friday on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, fraud by using a check on a closed account, theft of less than $500, theft of between $500 and $999.99 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

■ Christine Susan Hebein, 48, 3314 S. Highland Drive, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, DUI and careless driving.

■ John Dean Graham, 20, 2806 1/2 Bookcliff Ave., was arrested Friday on suspicion of introducing contraband, possession of a controlled substance, possession of alcohol by an underage person, DUI, driving under restraint, possession of a fraudulent identification card and possession of drug paraphernalia after Graham allegedly was found passed out with his foot on the brake of a running vehicle in the area of 15th Street and Wellington Avenue.

■ Caleb Abeloe, 24, Grand Junction, was arrested Friday on suspicion of motor vehicle theft after allegedly stealing a vehicle from the 1000 block of Ute Avenue.

■ Someone stole between $1,000 and $20,000 worth of property Friday in the 2700 block of G Road.

■ Two 14-year-old boys reportedly were carrying guns down the street Thursday in the 800 block of Lanai Drive. The juveniles were contacted and given tickets on suspicion of disorderly conduct. The guns allegedly were airsoft guns.

■ A man reportedly threatened another person with a knife and stole less than $200 from the victim Friday outside a business in the 2800 block of North Avenue. An investigation is ongoing.

■ Someone stole a vehicle valued at less than $20,000 Friday from a residence in the 300 block of Ridge View Drive.

■ Someone removed an undisclosed amount of property Friday from a residence in the 2800 block of Orchard Avenue.

■ Someone caused less than $20,000 in damage Wednesday to a business in the 700 block of Main Street.

■ Someone caused more than $1,000 in damage to a vehicle parked Wednesday in the 700 block of Horizon Drive.

■ Someone stole less than $1,000 in items from a vehicle parked Wednesday in the 1000 block of Elm Avenue.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Vandalism to a fence was reported Friday in the area of E 3/4 Road and 20 1/2 Road.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A report of unsafe shooting was made Sunday in the 63100 block of Lavender Circle.

■ Three horses reportedly were in the road Saturday in the 55000 block of Blossom Road in Olathe.

■ A report of property damage was taken Friday in the 16300 block of 6900 Road.

 

According to the Montrose County Police Department:

■ Victor Saldana-Garcia, 20, Olathe, was arrested Friday on suspicion of violation of bail bond conditions, a protection order violation, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with obstructed view and driving with expired plates on Rose Lane.

■ Vicki Solis, 52, Montrose was arrested Friday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 300 block of South Fifth Street.

■ Melissa Robitaille, 27, Olathe, and Marvin Howze, 29, Montrose, were ticketed Saturday in Montrose on suspicion of public indecency.

■ A sex offense report was taken Friday in Montrose. An investigation continues.

■ An illegal dump was reported Saturday in the 1400 block of Ogden Road. An investigation continues.
