Pickup hits building

Stephen “Barry” Teeple, 28, was issued a summons Thursday on suspicion of driving his pickup into a Mesa Developmental Services building at 1260 Glenwood Ave., according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Teeple’s truck was found unoccupied and unlocked at Teeple’s residence at 1302 Glenwood Ave. That building appeared to have some damage to its west wall, according to the summons. The MDS building had significant damage to a wall and an interior water pipe, according to the summons.

Teeple was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle with a suspended license, leaving a vehicle accident scene, and failing to notify police of an accident.

Theft from deli counter

 

Christopher Walter, 23, was issued a summons March 19 on suspicion of stealing food while employed by City Market, 630 24 Road, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Walter was issued a summons on suspicion of theft amounting to about $640 after he told a supervisor he had stolen some $4 worth of food daily in the eight months he worked at the store’s deli counter, according to the summons.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Aaron Wagner, 21, was issued a summons Friday on suspicion of punching a bouncer numerous times at Rockslide Brew Pub, 401 Main St.

■ Brian Gossett, 34, and Timothy Gossett, 39, were issued summonses Saturday on suspicion of assaulting a victim in the drive-through at Taco Bell, 850 North Ave., causing serious bodily injury.

■ Two men stole property valued at more than $1,000 Friday from Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St., and illegally sold it to a business in the 600 block of Fourth Avenue, causing the business a loss of less than $500.

■ A vehicle was removed without permission from the owner Saturday in the 700 block of 22 Road.

■ A vehicle theft was attempted March 15 from a parking lot in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 6&50. Less than $1,000 in damage was caused.

■ Items were damaged and stolen from one vehicle and property was taken from another vehicle Friday in the 1400 block of North 12th Street.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Deputies received a report of an assault Saturday in the 500 block of Horn Baker Court.
