Love bites, husband learns
A 34-year-old Grand Junction woman was booked into the Mesa County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault, child abuse and reckless endangerment after she celebrated her wedding anniversary by getting drunk and biting her husband on the neck, the Grand Junction Police Department reported.
According to an affidavit, drinking led to an argument, which escalated to a physical fight Thursday night when Angelina Espinoza allegedly beat and punched her husband as he drove them home from the babysitter’s house where their child was being cared for during their celebration, according to police.
After drinking alcohol at the babysitter’s house, Espinoza continued her attacks following the family’s return home, which is located in the 600 block of Chris Mar St., police said.
Espinoza reportedly bit the man on his back, neck and forehead, blackened his eye, and kicked and punched him about the face and body, though he did not retaliate, police reported.
Espinoza told police she had no recollection of the fight.
