Women suspected of theft
Brenda Cruz, 26, and Chelsea Webb, 23, were issued summonses Wednesday night on suspicion of shoplifting twice from two different Grand Junction Walmart stores.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, Cruz and Webb were contacted at Walmart, 2545 Rimrock Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and arrested on suspicion of stealing property valued at less than $500.
Cruz and Webb were then issued summonses at 2:45 p.m. at Walmart, 2881 North Ave., on suspicion of stealing property valued at less than $500.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone stole a safe from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Teller Avenue on March 18, for a loss of less than $500. The vehicle sustained less than $500 in damage, and an item valued at less than $500 was stolen from the residence at which the vehicle was parked.
■ Norman Stanley, 27, was issued a summons Tuesday night in the 300 block of 27 1/2 Road on suspicion of threatening firefighters and forcing them to leave a residence before they could render aid.
■ Items valued at less than $500 were stolen from a hotel room in the 200 block of Main Street on Tuesday night.
■ Marvin Leon Cook, 59, 306 Pine St, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 300 block of Pine Street on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He also was arrested on an active warrant.
■ Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Northern Way on Wednesday night and stole property valued at less than $500.
■ Alicia Marie Achierno, 28, 963 Colorado Ave. No. 3, was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and with no proof of insurance. She also was arrested on an active warrant.
