Child sex-assault alleged
Charles Brian Bourbeau, 43, 2910 Jon Hall, was booked Monday at the Mesa County Jail on a Mesa County Sheriff’s Department warrant alleging nine counts of various child sex-assault related crimes.
An affidavit in support of an arrest alleges Bourbeau molested an underage girl between October 2009 and December 2011. He was being held at the jail Tuesday on $30,000 bond.
Van punched in rugby spat
Matthew Lovato, 23, was ticketed Saturday on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal mischief after he allegedly punched a van repeatedly with his fist, causing approximately $300 damage, after he was removed from a rugby game by a coach for allegedly being “extraordinary aggressive” at 287 27 Road, according to a Grand Junction police summons. The vehicle was his rugby team’s rental.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Joshua Rivers, 24 and Timothy Wright, 20, were cited Monday on suspicion of shoplifting less than $500 in merchandise from 2809 North Ave.
■ A known suspect unlawfully pawned an item worth less than $1,000 at 2851 North Ave. on Feb. 14.
■ Jon Gerber, 51, was cited on suspicion of second-degree burglary and shoplifting at Walmart, 2545 Rimrock Ave. Gerber, who was barred from all Walmart stores, had unspecified tools and six packages of sandpaper in a bag when he was contacted Sunday, an affidavit said.
■ Dennis McHugh, 54, was cited Saturday on suspicion of shoplifting at 2512 Broadway.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Deputies took a report Feb. 27 of a stolen firearm in the 3000 block of D Road. No suspect information was reported.
■ A man in the 3200 block of White Avenue reported someone caused more than $2,000 worth of damage to a parked vehicle Saturday night.
According to the Montrose Police Department:
■ Jordan Perez, 27, was cited Thursday on suspicion of child abuse in the 1600 block of Encanto Place.
■ Dustin Dick, 27, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of driving with a revoked license, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and trespass of a vehicle in the 2000 block of Devon Street.
■ A 16-year-old boy was cited Friday on suspicion of illegal discharge of BB guns in the 600 block of South Selig Avenue.
■ Two 12-year-old boys were ticketed Monday on suspicion of graffiti in the area of Altrusa Park.
■ Brian Ulibarri, 32, was cited Saturday on suspicion of false reporting to authorities in the 900 block of North Townsend.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Anthena Cates, 29, was arrested Monday on suspicion of speeding, driving under revocation, no seat belt use and driving with an obstructed view.
■ Deputies were called Monday on a report of livestock problems in the 8500 block of 25 Mesa Road and at the intersection of Pearl and 5700 roads. Stray dogs were also reported in the 800 block of Mountain View Lane and 600 block of 6600 Road.
