Man held after standoff
A Clifton man who was wanted on warrants was taken into custody after a two-hour standoff with local law enforcement, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandon Pecha, 24, was wanted on a felony menacing warrant and two misdemeanor warrants when he refused to exit a home Friday at 538 Pearce Ave., the sheriff’s office said.
Pecha was taken into custody without incident just before 1:20 p.m. and was arrested on additional charges of second-degree assault and domestic violence.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ April Clark, 26, and Travis McCain, 28, were each cited on suspicion of theft April 19.
■ Reed Preheim, 19, was cited on suspicion of damaging property and marijuana-related offenses Sunday.
■ Someone stole more than $500 worth of property from a car in the parking lot of 765 24 Road Sunday.
■ Someone burglarized a home in the 500 block of Chuluota Avenue and stole property worth less than $1,000 on Sunday.
■ Leonard Valdez, 48, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting Tuesday.
■ Albina Barraza-Mejia, 38, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting Tuesday.
■ Cynthia Lofstedt, 24, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting Tuesday.
■ Christopher Cunningham, 21, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting Wednesday.
■ Keith Bailey, 36, is accused of false imprisonment and obstruction of telephone services Wednesday.
■ Someone stole property worth less than $300 from the back of a vehicle in the 300 block of Wedgewood Avenue on Wednesday.
■ Erit Schaneman, 42, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence Thursday.
■ Tre Hall, 39, is accused of drug possession and other offenses Thursday.
■ Shimon Weiner, 41, was cited on suspicion of causing less than $500 of damage to a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot on Rimrock Avenue on Thursday.
■ Alicia Sears, 31, is accused of harassment Thursday.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Ricky Romero, 54, is accused of child abuse and restraining order violation.
■ Someone stole $20 in property from the 3100 block of E 1/2 Road on Wednesday.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Mathew Mahan, 43, is accused of drug possession and other offenses Thursday.
■ Brian J. Blubaugh, 51, is accused of driving under the influence and other offenses Thursday.
