Forgery suspect sought
An unidentified man passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the Taco Bell near Mesa Mall on May 1 and Grand Junction police are asking for help in identifying him.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, the man tried to buy a $10 meal using a counterfeit $100 bill at 2:45 p.m. May 1. A restaurant employee recognized it as counterfeit and told the man it was fake, according to police. The man then left the restaurant.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone caused more than $1,000 in damage to a residence in the 100 block of Buena Vista Drive May 2.
■ Someone stole property valued at more than $500 from a vehicle parked in the 2800 block of North Avenue May 7.
■ Charlene Dabbs, 56, was issued a summons Wednesday evening in the 700 block of Rood Avenue on suspicion of being intoxicated in the roadway and suddenly leaving a curb as a pedestrian.
■ Dianna Meier, 47, was issued a summons Wednesday night on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $500 from Mesa Mall.
■ Sean Key, 20, was issued a summons Wednesday night in the 1300 block of Pitkin Avenue on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon, possessing drug paraphernalia and underage alcohol consumption.
■ John Laffey, 26, was issued a summons Thursday morning in the 2600 block of North Seventh Street on suspicion of assault.
■ Dalia Garcia, 40, was issued a summons Friday night on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $500 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.
■ Seth Edward Tiefenback, 32, 2915 Orchard Ave. No. G31, was arrested Friday night in the 700 block of North First Street on suspicion of criminal tampering and violating a protection order.
■ Robert Ernest Otero, 25, 484 Casey Way, was arrested Friday night on suspicion reckless driving, driving with a revoked license, obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest.
■ Kevin May, 25, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 2700 block of Cheyenne Drive on suspicion of assaulting a female victim, causing minor injury, and causing more than $1,000 in damage to a vehicle.
■ Derek Piaz, 24, was issued a summons early Sunday morning at Los Jilbertos, 2812 North Ave., on suspicion of third-degree assault and criminal mischief.
■ Matthew Borkowski, 23, was issued a summons Sunday morning in the 500 block of Main Street on suspicion of urinating in public.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Christopher Robin Timmerman, 27, was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of illegally possessing prescription drugs. According to deputies, the pills were found in his boxer shorts during a strip search at the Mesa County Jail after he’d been arrested for an outstanding warrant.
■ Brett Adam Reed, 29, was arrested Saturday night in the 3000 block of Grand Valley Drive on suspicion of criminal impersonation; according to deputies trying to contact him for an outstanding warrant, he hid in a closet and then gave them a false name when they found him.
■ Miguel Angel Vasquez, 39, 131 N. Bower Ave., was arrested Sunday evening on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and speeding.
