Bad checks suspected

• A Clifton woman was arrested Thursday on a warrant alleging she wrote fraudulent checks totaling thousands of dollars.
Denise Kay Donaldson, 47, 3314 E 3/4 Road, was jailed on suspicion of theft of $1,000 to $20,000 and two counts of felony check fraud.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

• Two unknown men used large rocks to smash the windows of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Texas Avenue on Wednesday.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

• Carmen Louise Engh, 44, 730 U.S. Highway 50, No. 106, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating bail-bond conditions.
