Homemade bombs found
A homemade bomb reportedly exploded late Tuesday in the backyard of a house in the 400 block of Allison Way, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
A man told an officer that someone drove by his house twice and threw a homemade bomb over his fence that exploded, splashing liquid on his fence, house and grill. Some foil and a destroyed bottle were by the grill, the man said.
No damage was reported. A second bomb also was in his backyard, but it did not go off, the report said.
Suspect hits store worker
Michael Wallace, 54, was arrested and released on a summons Wednesday on suspicion of disorderly conduct, trespass, indecent exposure and drinking alcohol where prohibited after he allegedly entered Walmart, 2881 North Ave., intoxicated and hit an employee in the head when asked to leave, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
After Wallace left the store, he reportedly walked to the front, grassy area of Walmart’s property and urinated on one of the trees, the employee told an officer.
When an officer arrived, Wallace was reportedly sitting in the grass at the corner of North Avenue and the entrance to Walmart drinking an alcoholic beverage, the report said.
Disorderly suspect arrested
Kevin Michael Freeman, 28, was arrested and released on a summons Thursday on suspicion of disorderly conduct at the intersection of South Fifth Street and Pitkin Avenue after Freeman was reportedly verbally aggressive with passing motorists and was asking for marijuana, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
An employee of the Grand Junction Police Department later reported a similar encounter with Freeman after Freeman asked the employee to help him “with drugs,” the report said.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Casey Tefertiller, 29, was arrested and released on a summons Saturday on suspicion of trespassing at 333 North First Street.
■ Michael Armstrong, 46, and Cody Aitken, 35, were arrested and released on summonses Thursday on suspicion of disorderly conduct for reportedly fighting at Whitman Park, 424 Pitkin Ave.
■ Adam Rodriguez, 23, was arrested and released on a summons on suspicion of second-degree criminal tampering after he was contacted at a business in the 1200 block of North Avenue.
■ Bradley Joe Sutton, 69, was arrested and released on a summons Wednesday on suspicion of trespassing and littering at Value Lodge, 104 White Ave.
■ A man reportedly tried to take property from a victim by force Thursday in the 1200 block of Walnut Avenue.
