Credit card stolen at university is used

A thief stole a wallet with a credit card, cash and documents 
Nov. 4 from a locker on the Colorado Mesa University campus. The credit card was later used to purchase items valued at less than $1,000, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.


According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Brian McSparren, 43, address unknown, was arrested Saturday at Rim Rock Drive and U.S. Highway 6&50 on suspicion of driving while being a habitual traffic offender, driving with a revoked license on a previous alcohol offense and DUI.

■ Matthew Johnson, 27, address unknown, was arrested Friday near the intersection of Rimrock Avenue and U.S. Highway 6&50 on suspicion of possession of an illegal weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was named in an active warrant.

■ Darrell Reeves, 58, address unknown, was arrested Thursday at 2862 Teller Ave. on suspicion of possession of a weapon as a convicted felon.


The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department did not release daily booking or activity reports Sunday.
