De Beque rollover fatal
Alcohol is suspected in a fatal, one-passenger rollover that happened early Sunday near De Beque.
Colorado State Patrol has not released the name of the 29-year-old Grand Junction man, who was driving a white Jeep Grand Cherokee east on Interstate 70 near milepost 67. Police said the man lost control and drove off the left side of the road.
The man was wearing his seat belt and was the only occupant of the vehicle.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ On Nov. 13, Amy Mascarenas, 27, and Shai Nielsen, 18, were arrested and jailed after they were found to be living at a vacant residence without permission at 140 Chipeta Ave. Police say a stolen vehicle was there, and Mascarenas was said to have drug paraphernalia.
Eight days later, the two were issued summonses for theft from Kohl’s, 636 Market St. They were booked into the Mesa County Jail on arrest warrants.
■ Michael Bosshardt, 57, was arrested and accused of drug distribution on Nov. 16, the result of an investigation in the 500 block of Court Road.
■ More than $1,000 was stolen Nov. 16 from a residence in the 2500 block of Patterson Road.
■ Taunya Gemberling, 34, is accused of stealing merchandise valued at less than $1,000 from 2545 Rimrock Ave. on Nov. 20.
■ Adam Stice, 36, is accused of stealing merchandise valued at less than $500 from 2881 North Ave. on Nov. 20.
■ A residence at 628 Ouray Ave. was illegally entered Nov. 18 and a victim was injured.
■ A handgun and related magazines, valued at less than $1,000, were stolen from a vehicle at 2044 Bookcliff Ave. on Nov. 20.
■ Dennis McHugh, 55, was contacted Wednesday in the 700 block of Pitkin Avenue and arrested on six outstanding warrants.
■ Items valued at less than $20,000 were stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Glen Caro Drive on Nov. 20.
■ Brian Sutherland, 36, is accused of assaulting a victim in the 200 block of Main Street.
