The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department responded to three separate incidents of attempted suicide on Thanksgiving Day.

Two of the three were taken to Colorado West Mental Health, while a third went to St. Mary’s Hospital.

One of the three said he was upset with his mother because she wouldn’t let him watch a favorite television program.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

• John Gregory Gilbert, 58, of Palisade, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of felony menacing.

• Michael Irvin Fejeran, 34, of Grand Junction, was arrested Friday on suspicion of third-degree assault and criminal mischief.
