Woman receives high bond
A 44-year-old woman was issued a high-cash bond on Thursday, accused of drug and weapons possession following a traffic stop on Wednesday.
According to an arrest affidavit, Staci Ray was driving a minivan stopped in the area of 29 1/2 Road and Orchard Avenue. Deputies allegedly found a number of safes that contained an unloaded .22 caliber handgun, pipes with drug residue, hypodermic needles and pills that later tested as controlled substances.
Ray also allegedly produced a baggie with nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine before entering the jail.
She was issued a $10,000 cash-only bond in the case.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Carlos Nazario, 30, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence and other offenses Sunday.
■ Someone broke into a vehicle and stole property worth more than $750 from the 3000 block of Applewood Street on Saturday.
■ Someone stole and used a financial transaction device in the 200 block of Main Street on Sept. 27.
■ Benjamin Bridger, 32, is accused of harassment and domestic violence Monday.
■ Jerry Jackson, 46, is accused of harassment Tuesday.
■ Anthony Samario, 42, is accused of a parole violation Tuesday.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Deputies are investigating a burglary in the 950 block of Highway 340 on Monday.
■ Adam Stice, 39, is accused of stealing a diamond bedazzled hat and orange soda from the Clifton Family Dollar on Tuesday.
■ James Neal, 31, is accused of a protection order violation and bond violation Wednesday.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Kenneth D. Henderson, 61, is accused of driving under the influence and other offenses Thursday.
■ Santos A. Young, 25, is accused of driving while ability impaired Thursday.
■ Dustin S. Barnes, 26, is accused of domestic violence and third-degree assault Thursday.
