Man booked on new charge
A 27-year-old man wanted for fleeing a scene in September, where distribution-level amounts of drugs were allegedly found, was arrested on new drug possession charges early Friday.
Justin Leech was issued a $10,000 cash-only bond in his case stemming from an incident Sept. 14 in which he and Tre Richardson, 22, were found sleeping in a car near Pear Park Elementary. Police allegedly found distribution-level amounts of methamphetamine and other drug-related items in the vehicle, and Leech ran from sheriff’s deputies.
Leech was allegedly in possession of five grams of methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia, when he was detained by police who had pulled over a car he was riding in early Friday. He was issued a $500 cash-only bond in the new case Friday in county court.
