Cops seek moped thief
Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is seeking the public’s help in identifying the subject who stole a moped sometime between Aug. 27-28 in the 1200 block of Elm Avenue.
The 2014 silver and blue-colored Tao Tao CY50 Moped had a missing left-side mirror and a large VIP sticker in the back. The vehicle is valued at more than $700.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Eric Ludwick, 42, was arrested Friday on suspicion of assault, obstructing an officer and possession of methamphetamine in the 500 block of Fruitvale Court.
■ A 32-year-old woman who was suicidal and intoxicated punched in the face a Grand Junction Fire Department firefighter who was trying to help her on Friday. The woman was then taken to St. Mary’s Hospital by sheriff’s deputies. The firefighter declined to pursue charges.
■ Deputies were dispatched to the 3200 block of White Avenue on a report of a fight on Saturday.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Damian Monroe, 22, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of criminal impersonation and possession of schedule I/II drugs at 1030 Teller Avenue on Wednesday.
■ Sheri Lynn Blanton, 35, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of three outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court after being contacted at 2836 North Ave.
■ A home was burglarized in the 1300 block of Walnut Avenue on Tuesday.
■ Noel Valdez-Garcia was arrested in the 2000 block of Ouray Avenue on Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespassing, obstructing a police officer and theft of $50 to $300.
■ William Garcia, 28, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of domestic violence, third-degree assault and criminal mischief.
■ Julian Galindo, 29, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a firearm on Thursday.
