Man accused of assault

A Grand Junction man faces a possible second-degree assault charge for allegedly causing serious bodily injury to his step-
father during a domestic dispute.

David Huerta allegedly struck the victim because of a previous argument between the victim and Huerta’s daughter. Huerta is alleged to have punched the man in the face, causing a fracture to the man’s orbital socket, according to an arrest affidavit.

Huerta was issued a personal-recognizance bond in the case Monday.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Someone defrauded a business in the 2300 block of North Avenue on Aug. 18, causing a loss of more than $2,000.

■ Someone entered vehicles and removed less than $300 worth of property in the 2600 block of Haven Hill Drive on Aug. 3.

■ Someone entered an address in the 3100 block of Lakeside Drive on Oct. 7, and removed furniture valued at less than $300 and took cash as well.

■ Someone forced entry into a business in the 1100 block of North 25th Street on Thursday, and stole cash and property valued at between $300 and $750.

■ Julian R. Galindo, 29, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting on Friday.

■ Scott Allen Stivener, 39, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting on Friday.

■ Michael Tarnowski, 29, David Butler, 25, and Carl Nillson, 35, were each cited on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer on Saturday. Tarnowski was additionally accused of disorderly conduct.

■ Someone entered a vehicle and removed property in the 700 block of North Avenue on Saturday, causing a loss of less than $50.

■ James C Bonati, 49, was cited on suspicion of shoplifting on Saturday.

■ Khyre Lamont Burns, 20, was cited on suspicion of unnecessary noise on Sunday.

■ Joshua Strickler, 32, is accused of felony menacing and harassment by telephone with a domestic violence enhancer on Sunday.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:

■ Michael Pagle, 38, is accused of first-degree burglary and third-degree assault on Sunday.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:

■ Theron E. Eanes, 32, Montrose, is accused of DUI and careless driving on Friday.

■ Jason K. Raible, 46, Telluride, is accused of DUI and child abuse on Friday.

■ Carlos P. Espinoza, 20, Montrose, is accused of domestic violence and harassment on Saturday.

■ Chas R. Gwaltney, 28, Ridgway, is accused of domestic violence, third-degree assault, harassment, violating a protection order, and DUI on Saturday.

■ Markus T. Ford, 28, Ouray, is accused of disorderly conduct on Saturday.

■ Aaron A. Gomez, 18, Montrose, is accused of DUI and underage consumption of alcohol on Sunday.
