Spate of vehicle break-ins
The Grand Junction Police Department reported that between Wednesday and Friday a vehicle was stolen, items were stolen from vehicles and an object thrown at a truck broke its windshield, causing more than $1,000 in damage.
The stolen vehicle was valued at less than $20,000 and was taken Thursday from the 1200 block of Bunting Avenue, police said.
In the 400 block of North 15th Street, an unknown person entered a vehicle Wednesday. Someone also took items valued at less than $500 from a vehicle located near the 1800 block of Grand Avenue. Additionally, a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of North Avenue was entered, leaving $1,000 in property damage. Items valued at less than $1,000 were stolen.
Harassment arrest made
A 44-year-old man was arrested on charges of harassment Saturday, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
An investigation revealed that Russell Lyles harassed a victim on 28 1/4 Road. He was booked into the Mesa County Jail and additionally faced charges for violating a protection order, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
Loud noise complaint
After making what police said was an “unreasonable loud noise” that inconvenienced someone else, Nathan Bionaz, 31, was issued a summons and released.
The incident happened in the 400 block of Harris Road, according to police.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ A 14-year-old male was arrested and released on a summons Tuesday near the 1400 block of North Fifth Street for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
■ A known woman is suspected of possessing and consuming methamphetamine in the 400 block of North 22nd Street.
■ Russell Gaglione and Alfred Wilson, both 57, and Ronald Fowler, 40, were arrested and released on a summons on suspicion of consumption of alcohol where prohibited Wednesday in the 300 block of South Ninth Street.
■ Someone cashed a fraudulent money order Monday for less than $1,000 in the 1100 block of Santa Clara Avenue.
■ Ashlynn Pershall, 20, was arrested and released on a summons on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia on the corner of 12th and Main streets.
■ After being stopped Thursdya for a traffic violation at 1234 N. 12th St., Sean Penny, 25, was arrested and released on a summons on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
■ Kasey Hancock, 25, was arrested and released on a summons early Thursday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, careless driving and failing to notify police of the accident at Main and 14th streets.
■ John Lofstedt, 42, was arrested and released on a summons in the 400 block of Pitkin Avenue Thursday on suspicion of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.
■ Two incidents of someone using another person’s identification information to purchase goods for more than $1,000 over the Internet occurred Friday. One was in the 800 block of Grand Vista Way and the other was in the 2500 block of Filmore Avenue.
