Eyeglass store burglarized

A local retail optical store was burglarized last week, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Police responded to 611 24 Road, the address of Pearle Vision, late Wednesday night. Officers documented that the store’s double-pane glass door was damaged and there were several items stolen, including a computer and miscellaneous pairs of glasses and sunglasses.

Losses are estimated at more than $20,000, according to police reports.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:

 

■ Mail was reported stolen from a mailbox in the 2200 block of Kingston Road on Tuesday.

■ A burglary was reported in the 3200 block of Bunting Avenue on Sept. 27.

■ An assault was reported in the 3200 block of Downey Avenue on Friday.

■ A juvenile received a citation for alleged theft, trespassing, driving without a license and for having unauthorized passengers in the car on Thursday, after deputies responded to a report of theft in the 200 block of 31 Road.

 

The Grand Junction Police Department did not release reports Saturday.
