Drugs alleged in arrest

Two Delta men were arrested in Grand Junction Wednesday night on suspicion of drug possession.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, officers stopped Christopher Ross Stevens, 19, 1664 H 38 Road, and Eric Xavier Johnston, 22, 452 B Street, in the 2900 block of Hill Avenue for driving a suspicious vehicle.

From that contact, Stevens was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, vehicle theft and an active warrant. Johnston was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.


According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■  A known woman altered three prescriptions Sept. 6 in an attempt to get controlled substances from pharmacies around Grand Junction.

■ Thomas Clarke, 35, was issued a summons Monday morning at Catholic Outreach on suspicion of violating a protection order.

■ A known male stole about $2,500 worth of merchandise Monday evening from a business in the 1600 block of North Avenue.

■ Fabian Castillo, 19, was issued a summons Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of stealing items valued at less than $100 from Shell, 2896 North Ave.
