Counterfeit $5 bills used
An unknown man used two counterfeit $5 bills at the Stop ‘n Save convenience store, 621 24 Road, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
Camouflage clothes stolen
Justin Medina, 24, was arrested Friday on suspicion of possession of burglary tools and theft of $750 to $2,000 in camouflage clothing items and candy from Cabela’s, 2424 U.S. Highway 6&50, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
A store associate found a small tool and five empty hangers in the fitting room after Medina left, and another store employee found security tags from the stolen camouflage items in the pocket of one shirt Medina took into the fitting room and brought back out, his arrest affidavit said.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Brandon Davis, 20, and Brandon Perez, 20, both of 936 North Ave., No. 520, were arrested Thursday on suspicion of dispensing or selling less than 5 pounds of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and minors in possession of alcohol.
■ Sharon Lyn Contreras, 49, was arrested Friday on suspicion of identity theft, criminal impersonation, second-degree forgery and theft of $50 to $300.
■ Cody Jay Scott, 23, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of criminal mischief of less than $500.
■ Items valued at less than $1,000 were stolen Wednesday from a truck parked in the 400 block of Independent Avenue. The case is still under investigation.
