Purse stolen, credit card used at Fruita food store
Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is searching for unknown people who broke into a black Toyota Tundra parked at the Kodel’s Canyon trail head in Fruita on Aug. 27 and stole a purse.
A man with dark hair and a mustache who was wearing glasses, a gray printed T-shirt and blue jeans was later seen using a credit card from the stolen purse at the Loco Food Store in Fruita (photo at left).

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Lindsey Larose, 20, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of possessing a schedule II controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
■ Items valued at less than $20,000 were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of North Third Street on Wednesday.
■ Justin Harding, 35, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of possessing narcotics and burglary tools in the 700 block of Horizon Drive.
■ Elena Teresa Mireles, 57, was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault Thursday in the 2800 block of North Avenue.
■ A house in the 200 block of 26 1/4 Road was vandalized on Thursday, causing less than $20,000 in damage.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ A burglary occurred in the 300 block of Desert Road on Tuesday.
■ Deputies responded to reports of fraud in the 2100 block of Yosemite Road on Sept. 12.
