Search for despondent man
Grand Junction police are looking for a Grand Junction man whose wife reported him missing Tuesday, the same day she last saw him.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, 51-year-old Kenneth Cottingham recently made suicidal statements. Officers found his pickup truck on a canal bank at 28 Road south of Interstate 70 but didn’t find him. There is no evidence he has returned home since being reported missing Tuesday, according to police.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Bookcliff Avenue Sept. 18, causing a loss of less than $500.
■ Someone pushed a vehicle off a steep hill on Orchard Mesa and onto railroad tracks early Friday morning. The vehicle was hit by a train.
■ Someone stole items valued at less than $20,000 from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Friday.
■ Steele Hampton Stevens, 23, 2113 Yellowstone Road, was arrested Sept. 19 on suspicion of possessing marijuana concentrate with intent to distribute the drug.
■ Hunter Johnston, Alison Bukacek and Ryan Good, all 18, were issued summonses Saturday night in the 2500 block of Pinyon Court on suspicion of possessing and consuming alcohol.
■ Dylan Johnson, 18, Daniel Neel, 20, two 15-year-old girls and a 16-year-old girl were issued summonses Saturday night in the 400 block of Washburn Street on suspicion of alcohol possession and consumption.
■ An item valued at less than $1,000 was stolen from a business in the 800 block of Grand Avenue on Sunday night, and then later found outside the building.
■ Garrett Digiallonardo, 26, was issued a summons Sunday night on suspicion of exposing his genitals to the view of others in public, refusing to leave private property after being told to do so and fighting in the 400 block of 28 1/4 Road.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ A woman harassed another woman at a bus stop at 32 1/8 Road and East Hall Court Sept. 8, using vulgar language and being highly inappropriate.
■ Deputies responded to a restraining order violation Friday in the 200 block of 28 1/2 Road.
