Crime Stoppers seeks help with arson case

Police are seeking help with a suspected arson that occurred in July. The incident happened just before 7 p.m. on July 1, when a fire started near a residence in the 200 block of Whisper Lane on Orchard Mesa. The fire started near the southwest corner of the garage of the home and melted an irrigation pipe before it was extinguished by the automatic sprinkler system.

Anyone with information about the people involved in this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 241-7867. Information leading to an arrest can earn anonymous tippers up to $1,000 cash reward. For more information, visit http://www.241stop.com.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:

■ A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 600 block of Lodgepole Drive on Aug. 28.

■ Donald Manis, 48, and Terri Gonzalez, 44, were arrested on Friday in the 2900 block of Parkway Drive. They were arrested on warrants for failing to appear in court from other jurisdictions and transported to the Mesa County Jail.

■ Anthony Burns, 47, was arrested Friday on suspicion of harassment, obstructing telephone service, child abuse, obstructing a peace officer and domestic violence.

■ An auto theft was reported in the 400 block of Bing Street on Friday.

■ Brandie Spoon, 30, was arrested Saturday in the 300 block of Sunnyside Court for alleged trespassing and domestic violence.

■ Tony Dominguez, 32, was arrested Sunday in the 2800 block of North Avenue on a warrant.

 

The Grand Junction Police Department did not release reports on Monday.
