Car arson investigated
Citing an ongoing investigation, the Grand Junction Police Department is releasing few details about a car arson fire reported at 6 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 22nd Street and Orchard Avenue, Sgt. Tony Clayton said.
Theft from store reported
Brandy L. Dorrance, 24, address unknown, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of theft of more than $1,000 and criminal impersonation after she was accused of stealing “a shopping cart full of Dyson vacuums” from Target, 2424 U.S. Highway 6&50, then lying to investigators about who she was, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone keyed a vehicle Thursday in the 200 block of Rood Avenue, causing more than $1,000 in damage.
■ Someone stole property valued at less than $500 from a vehicle parked Thursday in the 1000 block of Bunting Avenue.
■ A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of theft of less than $1,000 in items from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.
■ A man assaulted a resident Tuesday in the 2500 block of Shetland Court and caused less than $500 in damage to the residence.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
