Man accused of tampering
An Olathe man with five pending criminal cases, including one for felony stalking of a victim, was advised Friday in Mesa County court on possible charges of tampering with a victim and violating a protection order.
An arrest warrant affidavit for David Reynolds, 23, alleges that he convinced a third party to communicate via text message with a woman from whom he’s protected. The texts asked the woman to revise her statements to police about Reynolds and to drop charges against him. It was implied in the texts that if the woman didn’t comply, Reynolds would file a criminal case against her.
Prosecutors cited five pending cases against Reynolds including a stalking charge in seeking a high cash-only bond on Friday. A judge issued Reynolds a $10,000 cash-only bond in the case.
