Well pad thefts reported
Authorities are seeking leads from the public following a spike in thefts of solar panels, batteries and related equipment from well pads in western Garfield County.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department said six thefts occurred recently, mostly in areas west of Rifle and Parachute and along County Road 215. Four occurred in the last week of July.
Five of the cases are inactive unless further leads develop, department officials said. The crimes occurred on pads owned by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. and Williams, and the total estimated loss is $13,650.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Rita Tres, 65, was issued a summons July 29 on suspicion of shoplifting at 2512 Broadway.
Someone entered a vehicle and unlocked garage Wednesday in the 300 block of Hidden Valley and stole an undisclosed number of items.
A juvenile stole less than $1,000 during several thefts over several months from a residence in the 200 block of Rood Avenue. The matter was reported to police Wednesday.
Tara Anderson, 52, was ticketed Thursday on suspicion of driving the wrong way down a one-way street near Fifth Street and Ute Avenue while under the influence of prescription drugs.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Someone stole a car stereo Thursday from a car parked in the 500 block of Dawn Court.
Someone used red paint Thursday to write an obscene word on the door of an apartment in the 2900 block of Bunting Avenue.
A juvenile was driving without a license Thursday in the 2800 block of I-70 Business Loop. One adult in the car, Zuleima Alvarado-Maldonado, 19, was arrested on suspicion of assuming a false name and having other outstanding warrants against her, while another passenger in the car, Alexandra T. Long, 33, was issued a summons on suspicion of permitting an unlicensed minor to drive.
Someone stole a camera valued at $300 Thursday during the last circus performance at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.
Someone stole two bottles of beer valued at $5 from a Clifton woman Thursday in the 400 block of 32 Road.
Eric Michael Kirwan, 40, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of felony menacing, harassment, reckless driving and criminal mischief of property worth less than $20,000.
Brida Fiona Patton, 19, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of criminal attempt and criminal mischief of property valued at less than $500.
According to the Delta Police Department:
Susan K. Marconnette, 53, and Lisa G. Bryce, 48, both of Delta, were issued summonses Monday on suspicion of theft and possession of an open alcohol container.
Madison Smith, 21, of Delta was issued a summons Wednesday on suspicion of third-degree assault and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Three adults — Christopher Huggett, 19, of Cedaredge, Kristopher Parham, 19, of Eckert, and Russell Hinchman, 18, of Cedaredge — and one juvenile were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of theft from Wal-Mart.
