Officer obstruction alleged
Amanda Jolene Eddy, 23, 585 25 /12 Road, No. 204, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of two counts of aiding an escapee, possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of an officer, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Possessions of a Community Corrections escapee were found in Eddy’s car along with a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue inside, according to an arrest affidavit for Eddy. Eddy told investigators the pipe was not hers, according to the affidavit.
Robbery attempt alleged
Axl Aryas Brionne Boynton, 20, homeless, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of criminal attempt after he attempted to rob Crown Liquors, 2851 North Ave., according to the Grand Junction Police Department. Boynton wore a mask into the store Tuesday, demanded money from the clerk, then fled when the clerk refused to give him any money, police said. Boynton did not have a weapon, the Police Department said.

Rex Harvey Cameron, 20, 1222 Elm Ave., No. 1222, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of theft of between $1,000 and $20,000.
Benjamin James Coates, 18, 543 N. 20th St., was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly giving marijuana to two juvenile girls.
Edwin Dean Drake, 47, 2745 B Road, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of aggravated driving under revocation.
Someone damaged the front glass door of Small Wonders, 545 25 1/2 Road, on Tuesday. Damage was less than $1,000.
