Cops seek witness to threat
Grand Junction police are looking for a witness who may have followed a suspect accused of brandishing a gun and threatening an employee at a Rite Aid pharmacy this week.
Police spokeswoman Kate Porras said the person may have followed 26-year-old Benjamin Awad as Awad ran out of Rite Aid, 1834 N. 12th St., on Tuesday. She said detectives want to talk to the person because he or she may have information about the crime.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
A man reported he was stabbed by another man Tuesday while he was in his vehicle at the intersection of D Road and 30 Road.
Property valued at more than $1,000 was reported stolen Tuesday after someone entered a locked yard in the 2500 block of Pinyon Avenue.
Someone on Wednesday entered a home in the 200 block of Chipeta Avenue and stole items and caused damages of less than $1,000.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
An antique saddle valued at $400 was stolen Wednesday from a barn in the 5300 block of LE 2/10 Road in Molina.
Deputies took a report of harassment Wednesday in the 3100 block of Brownie Circle and advised that further contact between the parties could result in criminal charges.
