Deputies: Man made 2 false reports in same day

Deputies determined a 56-year-old man in the 3200 block of E Road misused a medical alert device after claiming he fell on his porch at about 8:30 Sunday morning, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies arrived at the home of Michael Newman, 3251 E Road No. 130, and found the man lying on the porch unharmed. It was determined the man had not fallen and had used the medical alert button falsely. Later that day, just after 1 p.m., Newman called 911 reporting that his mother was stuck in the crawl space. Emergency workers checked Newman and he did not have any medical conditions. He was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of making false statements and refused to go to Colorado Health West with adult protection services, the Sheriff’s Department said.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

Evan Raymor, 29, received a summons Sunday for shoplifting at 2424 US Highway 6&50.

A thief or thieves on Monday morning removed property valued at less than $1,000 from a business in the 2800 block of the Interstate 70 Business Loop.

Jeremy Dickhoff, 18, received a summons Saturday for shoplifting at 2545 Rimrock Ave.
