Police seek window shooter
Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous tips from anyone who can provide information about an incident last month in which someone shot out the windows of heavy equipment parked just inside the property line of the Grand Junction Regional Airport.
The incident happened on the northeast end of the property, near 29 Road. The windows were shot sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 26, resulting in $4,000 worth of damage.
A $1,000 cash reward is being offered for information that may lead to an arrest. Anyone with a tip can call 241-7867 or check http://www.241stop.com.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Ryan P. Green, 26, was arrested Tuesday near Elm Avenue and Melody Lane on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, plus an active warrant.
A man is suspected of damaging property valued at more than $1,000 Monday in the 1200 block of Houston Avenue.
A man is being investigated for felony theft after allegedly removing more than $1,000 from Target.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Deputies took a report from a citizen who said he saw a suspicious vehicle making suspicious transactions at the Mesa Pointe Plaza shopping center. The car was gone by the time deputies arrived.
Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct call in the 600 block of Peony Drive on Wednesday. Someone told deputies a woman was starting fires inside the home and had been drinking. The woman was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.
