EMS week to honor

emergency care techs

You might want to thank an emergency medical technician this week, as it is emergency medical services or EMS week.

Workers with the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to 11,288 calls for medical service last year, according to spokesman Mike Page. Total calls to the department topped 13,000.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

Someone forced entry Sunday into a home in the 800 block of Kennedy Avenue and stole items valued at less than $1,000.

Someone stole a trailer valued at more than $1,000 from the 2400 block of Patterson Road on Monday.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

Someone drove a vehicle across a portion of a yard in the 3100 block of Dublin Way on Monday and caused damage of about $200.
