Sex assault alleged
A man was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion he sexually assaulted a woman who lived at the same care center where he was residing, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy arrested Marquelle John Rodriguez, 18, at Mount Garfield Assisted Living Center, 3293 Lombardy Lane, on suspicion of sexual contact without consent and third- degree sexual assault on an at-risk adult. Rodriguez will not be living at the center any more, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to the affidavit, a woman told deputies Rodriguez took her hand and rubbed it on his crotch and, in a separate incident, sat on her bed and rubbed her leg until she woke up.
Drugged driving suspected
Warren Lowell Page, 63, Cedaredge, was arrested this past weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
A Colorado State Patrol officer arrested Page on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and marijuana. Page also was arrested on suspicion of having drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.
Page was booked into the Mesa County Jail Sunday morning.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
Ruth Roehmer, 73, was issued a summons Saturday on suspicion of trespassing at the U.S. Postal Service branch at 241 Fourth St.
A vandal broke a window Saturday at McDonald’s, 1212 North Ave., causing more than $1,000 in damage.
A vandal illegally entered a residence Saturday at 1235 Colorado Ave. and caused less than $500 worth of damage.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Travis Cernzanu, 35, was arrested Saturday at 2542 Kennedy Ave. on a warrant alleging sexual assault on a child and sexual assault on a child as a pattern of abuse.
A man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at 570 32 Road. He also was named in an arrest warrant.
