Hotel assault reported
Michael Scott Townsel, 26, address unknown, was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of second-degree assault causing serious bodily injury after he fought a man with whom he had been sharing a hotel room for the past week, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.
According to Sgt. Kevin Imbriaco, the man, of similar age, accused Townsel of punching and kicking him and breaking bones in his face. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Imbriaco added. The man said the fight began in a Horizon Drive hotel room after he said things to Townsel about Townsel’s wife.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
A thief stole property valued at more than $1,000 from a storage shed in the 500 block of 25 Road on Friday. Damage to the shed was less than $100.
A man is suspected of using a gun to scare a child in the southeast part of the city Friday.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of 32 1/8 Road twice Saturday night because of noise complaints. Both times, deputies heard yelling from inside the home. The individuals were warned the first time and ticketed the second time for a disorderly house.
According to the Fruita Police Department:
Garrett Keith Blecha, 32, 965 E. Ottley Ave., was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing, harassment and prohibited use of a weapon Saturday.
